HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL WINGLESS
SPRINTS CLINIC IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
South Australian sprintcar
star Jamie Cobby conducted a highly successful clinic in Adelaide last
Sunday. Cobby has established himself as a well respected sprintcar
competitor in both the 410ci and 360ci categories – he is a former
Australian 360 Sprintcar Champion. Turning his hand to presenting a
clinic for Wingless Sprints South Australia, Cobby has shown another
of his areas of expertise.
Cobby made his place of
business, Cobby Transport in Adelaide, available for the clinic. A
wingless sprints racecar was brought into one of the workshop
facilities and Cobby worked through the total basic set-up for a
wingless sprints racecar.
Twenty-three people
representing wingless sprints drivers and pit crew attended the
clinic. Jamie Cobby took them right back to basics as he explained in
detail all the important aspects of the set-up of the racecar. Cobby
took nothing for granted in his practical, hands-on demonstrations as
he encouraged the clinic participants to ask questions about any
aspects as he worked through the racecar set-up.
Several of the clinic
participants were quite amazed with Cobby’s explicit demonstrations
and many commented that they were keen to get back to the race
workshop and put Cobby’s advice into practice.
The administration of Wingless
Sprints South Australia has left no stone unturned as it launches into
its 2009/2010 racing season.
The Sprintcar Control Council
of Australia (SCCA) – the peak body of the affiliation with Australian
Wingless Sprint Racing – wishes to thank Jamie Cobby for his
willingness to devote his time and expertise to the development of
Australian Wingless Sprint Racing by conducting the clinic.
