WINGLESS SPRINTS SOUTH AUSTRALIA LOCK IN BUSY SEASON  .....

Australian Wingless Sprints of South Australia have released the details of two series events for the 2009/2010 racing season.

The major series event is the Parr Motorsports Southern Shootout and the other series event is the 2010 Wingless Sprints Easter Trail.

The Parr Motorsports Southern Shootout Series will be run over eight (8) rounds of competition and will embrace the three (3) rounds of the Wingless Sprints Easter Trail.

The overall series will take in seven different race venues with each round of the series offering $2 300 in prize money, making a total payout of $18 400 across the series. As well as the prizemoney, organizers have been able to include a number of contingency prizes for the series to add to the incentive for drivers to take part. A simple format of two 10 lap heats culminating in a 16 car 20 lap A Main Feature race will operate at each round of the series.

Organisers have obtained great support from a number of business houses to attract competitors for the series. Due to the support of the Franklin Hotel, Adelaide, additional tow money has been allocated for Round 3 of the series in Broken Hill and a jackpot will be awarded for the overall three (3) round Easter Trail winners through the support of Attiwills Home and Industry, Mount Gambier, Advanced Engine Reconditioning, Salisbury and Redmont Motors, Salisbury Plain.

A series presentation dinner will be held in Adelaide at the end of the 2009/2010 speedway racing season on a date and at a venue to be decided.

Organisers are confident that not only will home state drivers be keen to compete in the series, but a number of interstate competitors will also chase ‘the pot of gold’.
