To All AWS Drivers,

All Wingless Sprint drivers/owners have been supplied their SCCA  log books at time of day lighting of their cars and have been supplied their Sprintcar Control Council of Australia Inc. Racing Rules, Regulations and Specifications booklet dated September 2009.  This rule book and the log book should always be with the car at a race meeting. It is the responsibility of all drivers and car owners to have read and understand these rules & regulations as by signing their log books at a race meeting, they are agreeing to abide with the rules & regulations.

LOG BOOKS

The infringement booklet inside the front cover of the log book must be signed, dated and a current photo attached.

It has been decided that at future club and series race meetings (SA Title and Australian Title will have different times), beginning 2 ˝ hours prior to the scheduled start of racing, a designated official for the meeting will collect the log books duly filled out with track name, date, car number, car owner’s name, car owners signature, drivers name and drivers signature. The driver’s current NASR licence should be in the pocket inside the front cover to be checked. At completion of the race meeting, it is the responsibility of the driver to collect the log book from the official. Refer to Page 16 Rule 5.9(ii). As most officials are either drivers themselves or a member of a team, these checks will conclude 1 hour before racing is due to begin therefore officials will not have the time to be running around looking for drivers or waiting for log books to be completed.

There must be a driver or crew member available at each car during this period of time to provide the signed log book and to also to present the drivers safety equipment to the official or an assistant for checking.

GRID POSITIONS

The Club is purchasing a whiteboard which will display grid starting positions for heats and then final. Drivers or crew will need to check the whiteboard for grid positions prior to the event.

The Club will continue to consider ways of simplifying & speeding up all processes of pit & race meeting organisation and will make further changes as deemed necessary.
